An exciting historical walk combined with a touch of adventure on the oldest route below the slopes Table Mountain.

Follow the footsteps and stories of the slave washerwomen, the drosters’ hideouts, the quarry men and the spice millers.
Discover the haunted ruins, a spot where the Magic Ring was lost, the waterfall and springs that once supplied the City with drinking water and the magical views of Table Bay from the platteklip river.

The Tour distance and duration is about 4km and 2 hours.

Bring: A light wind jacket depending on the season, a camera and a sense of adventure. Closed foot gear is recommended.

Some of the historic sites we will be visiting are: Deer Park, the first reservoir, the mysterious ruins, the Platteklip waterfall, the princess grave, the filter beds, the Platteklip Mill, the washer houses, the oldest farm in Cape Town, the slave bell, the historic springs and a few more little secrets I will tell on the way.
There are beautiful little restaurants as well that we can visit before the start and at the end of the Tour for a Coffee, Breakfast or Lunch or just refreshments.
